A roof covered by laths is lightweight and nice. The roofing serves for 25-30 years, whereas impregnated and painted it may serve for 35-40 years.

Laths are made of asp. A roof covered by laths is a perfect heat insulator, frost-resistant and water-proof, therefore it is suitable for roofing of dwelling houses, bathhouses, cottages, and arbours. Laths are put in two-three layers. Price for a lath roofing in two and three layers is 10LTL/1 m² and 15 LTL/1 m² respectively.
